Heading for Home

By paradiseboundministries

We will update with a lot more pictures when we get home. But we had a good day shopping today. All of us were up and ready to go today. No more sickness. yet…

We visited Estuardo today. Please keep praying for answers in this family’s life. Pray also for the mission in his absence.

We are having our final devotions in just a few minutes. Plan for us all to be touched by God through our work together this week and in our closing reflections.

Pray for safe travel on the way home as we go through 3 flights Guate to Houston Houston to Cleveland and then on to grand Rapids. Our experiences in the last few days have been great. God has been at work within and around the team some times visibly, but always inside.

Look for more updates when we are stateside again and have more time to reflect and upload our experiences of the trip.

Thanks for your prayers,

Brandon for Team Allendale

You’re home and it looks like some folks have perhaps joined the PB Alumni Facebook site. If there’s anyone who’s just itching to go back right away, I am trying to find a travel companion (female) who would like to spend time in Antigua and other touristy places for a week in August. Probably Dan and Heidi will no longer be there(?) After five visits, I really, really want to see more of the country. This would in no way prevent me from returning on a mission trip in the future.
I am an experienced international traveler who speaks Spanish….have traveled alone in foreign countries but would prefer not to!

    Hey Sue,
Team Allendale is all home safely. We had 3 flights on Wednesday and the last was pretty turbulent, came home during a storm. When we landed, we all clapped and then sang “Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow”.
My favorite part of the trip was staying at La Bendicion! We even got to celebrate Dan Smith’s birthday with him and someone lit off a bunch of firecrackers. It was another inspiring and God-glorifying trip!
