It won’t be long now!

Team Allendale will be leaving Grand Rapids at 5:30 am on Wednesday, June 25. We plan to arrive in Guatemala at 11:13 am. (They are 1 hour behind us). We will be driving directly to La Bendecion and sleeping there the first 3 nights. It is a village near the coast and we will be living among the people in this plantation house. We will not have electricity, so we will not be able to update the website. On Saturday we plan to drive to the mission base in Chimaltenango and will hopefully update then (if the internet power is restored there.)
Please continue to keep us in your prayers – for safety, health, unity, good weather for our building days and to be a Christlike example to those we meet.

    Even if the internet is down, you may be updating at a cafe or something. Hope and pray that your time at La Bendicion was as blessed as ours was! I hope to go back again next year!

    I hope Team Allendale is having a great experience in Guatemala. Having been there before myself I know that you are all experiencing gods grace in everything you see and do. That is the best part of the trip. So do you LOVE the little kids or what!!! They are sooo adorable and so affectionate. I bet you have gone threw about 100 pounds of “dulce” by now. Hope you have a great week and looking forward to hearing the details and seeing pictures soon. Wish I was there. Adios.

    Hey, Kathy, me too! Rockford stopped doing candy, but we have lots of fun with the kids playing games and doing nail polish and hairdos. It got to be downright dangerous at times, with kids overpowering big strong gringos!

    Five mission trips to Guatemala have piqued my interest in the REST of the country, too. I’d love to connect with other Paradise Bound folks who feel the same. A tourist trip would NOT take the place of a mission trip. I put up a Facebook “Paradise Bound Alumni” site just for fun and to keep in touch with others who have experienced our amazing Lord at work in that beautiful place!

    Wonder when PB will get back online!?
